I recently had the opportunity to photograph the beautiful Chesterfield Inn, a completely refurbished mansion on Shippan Point in Stamford, CT. The owner, John Ruddy, went all out in this renovation and it shows! The attention to detail is amazing. I'd love to have woodwork like this in my own old house. And speaking of old houses, you might just catch a better glimpse of this place in an upcoming issue of "This Old House Magazine" . What a great alternative to the large hotel chains in downtown. Looks like a perfect place for a corporate gathering or family vacation. Hats off John! So pleased to see a house that did not meet the wrecking ball!
